Join UFSC Toronto on the Slopes for Family Day!

Please RSVP no later than Monday, February 6th to events@ufsc-toronto.org indicating option #1, #2 or #3.

What:  UFSC is heading back to the Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario on Family Day February 20, 2012 to engage in some wintery activities (skiing, snowboarding or drinking hot chocolate in the lodge).   Snow may not be enjoyable in the city, but snow on the mountain is amazing!  For those of you who have always wanted to learn how to ski/snowboard or for those of you who are experienced let’s go have some fun and meet folks in a different light!

 
The Plan:  Beginners will take group lessons (highly recommended) in the morning and then in the afternoon if people are still interested (the more experienced folks can give pointers).  For the experienced folks, go ahead discover Ontario’s biggest ski resort and cruise the mountain.
 
When:  Monday, February 20, 2012 (Family Day, Provincial Holiday)
 
 
Cost:  If there are 20 or more people group rates apply.  If not, regular rates will apply. There are a few participation options available (see Options below).
 
Transportation:  Car pooling will be organized for those who want to attend and do not have their own means of transportation.
 
If you are interested in participating, please email Aldin Jno-Baptiste or Antoniella Ranga at events@ufsc-toronto.org no later than Monday, Feb 6th.  We need to have an idea of total number of atendees in order to secure group rates.  With your RSVP, please indicate the option you will be taking.

Option 1: Discover Skiing & Snowboarding

Incredible value! This is the first step to take if you are new to the sport or if you’ve been away from the slopes and need some tips. This lesson is available for ages 13 and up.
 
Operates daily from 10 am - 8 pm
Meet at learning stations at the bottom of Easy Rider at Grand Central Lodge
Group Rate: $59.00 + TAX ($74 for non-group rate)
Includes beginner lift ticket & rental equipment.
No 4-hour refund available.

Option 2: Lift tickets only (no lessons)

If you are experienced and have your own skis or snowboard
Family Day Group Rate Day/Night Lift Ticket $55.00
Regular Day Rate (9am - 4:30 pm): $58

Option 3: Equimental Rental & Lift Ticket (no lessons)

If you are experienced, don’t want lessons but need to rent skis or snowboards.  
 
Ski Package
Includes: skis (Salomon or Elan), boots, poles & helmet.
Adult (13 yrs+) Day/Night (9am-10pm): $45
 
Snowboard Package
Includes: Burton snowboard, boots & helmet.
Adult Day/Night: $45
