UFSC Lunch & Learn

Inner city youth from priority neighbourhoods enjoy a chance of lifetime trip to tour live corporate trading floors and financial offices to see a day in the life of a financial professional. During lunch they learn about financial careers and capital markets trading from diverse financial leaders.

Nelson Mandela Mentors Program

Since 2005, UFSC members have the opportunity to mentor grade 7 and 8 students @ Nelson Mandela Park Public School. The relationship enables students to develop relationships with Diverse Professionals, and understand the importance of a post secondary education.

Mentor Testimonial:
“I have been a Nelson Mandela Public School mentor for the past two years, and in that time I have learned as much about myself as my mentee has learned from me.  In our exchange, I often reflect on many life experiences, particularly those challenges and opportunities that have shaped me into who I am today. My personal roadmap will likely provide some much needed direction to my mentee, but the thought that my guidance may ultimately lead to my mentee achieving his own unique goals and dreams, is most fulfilling.  The mentoring program not only gives me an opportunity to give back to the community, but through it, I've made a life long friend.”
